Publish the post in whatever manner would usually cause your blog software to send your pings, and then return to this page when they have been sent. Usually this is immediately after your post has been published to your site.
In the form on this page, enter the URL of your blog. Pingomation requires only the domain (http://www.example.com/) to retrieve from its database any trackbacks or pingbacks received from your site.

By default WordPress uses web URIs which have question marks and lots of numbers in them, however WordPress offers you the ability to create a custom URI structure for your permalinks and archives. This can improve the aesthetics, usability, and forward-compatibility of your links. A number of tags, and here are some examples to get you started.

It took nearly six months to produce this site. At first, I just wanted a place where I could write about US and world politics; let off some steam and scream, “I’m not going to take it anymore,” just like in the movie.
So, I started writing and created a small site using my local ISP provider. Two things happened; I ran out of space quickly and I learned my site was using something called an Iframe. What the heck is an Iframe?
I’m still not sure, but it’s why I decided to create a real site. I had no idea what I was getting into. There are programs you can buy and have a site up in a day. They’re called WYSIWYG–what you see is what you get.

Adds Keyword/Tagging ability to Wordpress. Keyword/Tags can be edited via the Wordpress interface, or inserted using a tool such as Ecto / Windows Live Writer that support keywords. Keyword/Tags can be automatically displayed in posts or feeds without editing Theme files. Static Wordpress pages (e.g. ‘About’) can be edited via Ecto / Windows Live Writer. Drafts can be moved to the top of the list in Ecto / Windows Live Writer to avoid sorting problems. Fixes a problem in Windows Live Writer where posts that include the tag are truncated when edited. Automatically create meta keyword header from tags for SEO purposes.
This is just a test.

When I Googled "Star Trek," the search engine returned 61,900,000 related sites. This many choices can be pretty frustrating to a fan, especially one who just wants to know more details on the type of government the Borg employs, or when the next "Star Trek" video game is going to be released (soon, I promise). So here, on the occasion of the show’s 40th anniversary, are my top 10 essential sites for any Trekkie (this may not be the end-all list, and remember that these are my favorites). Read up: Resistance is futile!

You cannot discuss politics if you lack basic knowledge of world events. Our republic, as our Founding Fathers knew, could not survive without a free press. Today, I believe the press has become too "chummy" with politicians, choosing sides and loosing objectivity.
But, many journalists have spent lifetimes to bring vital information into our homes, often risking their own lives. Sadly, when I read the results of many polls, I question do Americans really care.
Far too many cannot name their representatives and even with all the news coverage, people don’t know who Donald Rumsfeld or the Dick Cheney are; let alone their position in government and that scares me and hopefully you.
If there’s time to watch TV, read the business or sports page, then there’s time for you to stay informed on local, federal and world politics and it’s your civic duty.
No one should ever enter a voting booth and cast a ballot based on pure emotion or ignorance. It may be your right, but it might also explain why 98 percent of the members in Congress are reelected, with approval ratings below 30 percent.

And as a point of reference, I have permalinks working just fine on the 4 installs of 2.0 and 2 of 2.0.1 I have currently as well as on every 1.5 install I still have (um - not sure how many that is, lost count…. 10 or so? maybe).

Two months to the November election and there’s a new political site launching that aims to unite people rather than divide.
Is it possible? But, it’s better than the divisive nature of our political system and it is definitely worth trying.
I once thought 9/11 would keep us united, but the political hacks, of all beliefs, think more about power and glory than their constituents.
We can do better; yes indeed and we have too, if this nation and its people are to survive.
